What is essentials?
Essentials is a 4-week, lecture-style experience designed to help you grow in your faith and take your next step at Heart and Soul Church. Meeting on Sundays from 5–6:30 PM, Essentials offers two intro level courses: Intro to Theology and Intro to Leadership as well as one advanced course: Understanding the Bible.
Cost: $25 – First adult, $10 – Additional adult (spouse/significant other), $15 – Covers all children in your family (newborn–5th grade)
COURSE OFFERINGS
Intro to Theology is a 4-week lecture-style course designed to help you build a strong foundation for your faith. This course is for two types of people:
Those who have grown up in church but have never taken the time to truly understand what they believe and where it comes from in Scripture.
Newer believers who are getting active in church and realizing, “I don’t actually know what I believe or how to explain it yet.”
Intro to Leadership is a 4-week lecture-style course designed to help you grow as a leader and take ownership of your influence. Through the lens of our Heart and Soul values, you’ll learn what it looks like to call the champion out of people, bring your own weather, do whatever it takes, and lead with clarity and purpose. Whether at church, at work, or in everyday life, this course will help you lead with confidence and intentionality.
Understanding the Bible is a 4-week lecture-style course designed to help you move beyond simply reading Scripture into deeper, more confident study. We recommend taking Intro to Theology first to build a strong foundation before stepping into this course. You’ll learn how the Bible fits together as one unified story, how to interpret it faithfully, and how to form your beliefs from what God has revealed. This course will equip you to engage God’s Word with clarity, confidence, and conviction.
